Testimonials:
Philip S. came to the Centre in September 2007. Knowing very little English, he started at ESL level 1 and worked hard improving his English and achieving his Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). He did a Prior Learning Assessment with one of our counsellors, and, based on his past education and work history, was granted equivalency and maturity credits, considerably shortening the time to earn his diploma. By June 2010 he was an Ontario Secondary School graduate. Philip is currently enrolled in the Centre's Specialized Language Training Program to improve his customer service and business communication skills. He will get work placement experience with the help of the London Employment Help Centre. His eventual goal is to have a career in business.
Art M., a laid-off welder, attended the LBS Pre-Credit program to upgrade his writing skills and continued in the credit program to earn his secondary school diploma. In June 2010 he represented all the graduates as class valedictorian. Art is now furthering his studies to become a Community Services Worker.
"LBS paved the road to my education so that successes in training and employment are no longer dreams---they are a wonderful reality."
Penny F.
" I would like to say thanks for all the support I got from the Centre. It's an amazing place to learn about business communication and computer skills. It gives you confidence, strength and respect to start again."
Marcia C., Specialized Language Training graduate, now working at Nestle.
